Plannosaurus Spinosaurus

Plannosaurus Spinosaurus

The Spinosaurus was a giant theropod dinosaur of the Cretaceous. The towering sail on its back and its long crocodile-like snout are its hallmarks; it is believed to have been a semi-aquatic predator, and was even larger than the Tyrannosaurus.

Plannosaurus (プラノサウルス) is BANDAI's dinosaur model kit series, supervised by the Gunma Museum of Natural History. Its defining feature is that you build the skeleton first, then wrap it in the skin: once assembled, the outer skin can be opened up so you can look back at the bone structure inside at any time — playful and educational at the same time.

• Two-layer skeleton → skin construction; the outer skin opens to display the internal frame
• No glue and no painting required; parts come pre-coloured
• Supervised by the Gunma Museum of Natural History; includes a dedicated display base
